Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock has filed for divorce from husband Jesse James after a string of lurid revelations linking the reality TV star to a stripper, People magazine reported Wednesday.
In an interview on People’s website, Bullock also revealed she had secretly adopted an African-American baby boy prior to her split with James and was now planning to raise the child as a single mother.
“Yes, I have filed for divorce,” Bullock told People, ending weeks of speculation about the fate of her five-year marriage since the allegations of infidelity involving her husband first emerged. “I’m sad and I am scared.”

Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock has filed for divorce from her allegedly philandering husband, and at the same time has become a new mum, adopting a three-and-a-half month old baby boy, People magazine reported on Wednesday.
The Hollywood gossip mag wrote on its website that Bullock has filed divorce papers to formally split from celebrity mechanic and reality-TV star Jesse James, who reportedly cheated on her for months with tattooed stripper Michelle “Bombshell” McGee.
“Yes, I have filed for divorce,” the 45-year old Hollywood actress, who won her first best actress Oscar last month for her role in the hit film The Blind Side.
She reportedly added that she felt “sad and … scared.”
Bullock, one of Hollywood’s most popular and most bankable actresses, cancelled public appearances and vanished from the public eye in the weeks following revelations that her husband had strayed, and news of her divorce and new motherhood marks an emphatic return to the spotlight.

Of all the sordid details to emerge about James’ alleged affairs, was the fact his primary alleged mistress was a tattoo-clad stripper with a penchant for swastikas and Nazis. The whole racial supremacy thing was the huge factor that made me think that a woman like Bullock would definitely not stay married to James. Antoine’s musical woes provide humor and pathos this week. The episode opens with Antoine bragging on his “bone” while getting it on with a stripper. I’m going to suggest that “Treme’s” characters prove more effective when their dialogue drives their actions, rather than simply serve as out-of-thin-air sermonizing. Creighton remains an impassioned but passive figure, although maybe his discovery of Youtube (still new back in 2005) will give him a pet cause. Davis, on the other hand, still pontificates but has become a bohemian man of action: he also teaches Creighton and Toni’s daughter to play “Tipitina,” writes a terrible song about strippers moving into his neighborhood and takes Janette out to a fancy restaurant.
