Prima was wearing a brown pinstripe suit and a hot pink shirt. He was backed by a similarly natty-looking horn section on the right and a pianist and guitarist on the left, both dressed in chest hair-exposing shirts.
The band got right down the business, wasting no time getting into the crowd favorite “Jump, Jive, an Wail.” The band did just that. The horns swayed back and forth, up and down. The pianist did high kicks while playing. Prima was all over the stage, reaching into the high notes and then nonchalantly blathering the lyrics. Next to him for much of the show was singer Sarah Spiegel, wearing a Hollywood smile outlined in red and a clingy aqua-and-silver number that the man next to me seemed to enjoy very much.
Handing off the next song to Spiegel, Prima couldn’t help but give her a mildly chauvinistic dig, calling her out on her “stripper dust.”

SANDRA Bullock and Jesse James have put their California home on the market for $US5.995 million, the website TMZ said.
TMZ said the realtor with the listing confirmed the asking price of the Orange County home and said it was now up for sale.
The website said it would be sold discretely, with no open houses, and potential buyers must pre-qualify.
In an interview with People magazine published this week, the Oscar-winning actress said she had filed divorce papers in Texas on Wednesday in the wake of a string of lurid revelations linking her husband Jesse James to a stripper.
Bullock also revealed she had secretly adopted a three-month-old African-American baby boy prior to her split with James and was now planning to raise the child as a single mother.
Bullock, 45, told the magazine she was “sad and scared” about the end of her five-year marriage.

Sandra Bullock Adopts baby:Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee shocked by that
Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee has told of her shock at learning Sandra Bullock had adopted a boy.
The tattooed stripper – who has claimed to have an 11-month-long fling with Bullock’s husband, Jesse James – admitted she had “no idea” that the couple were planning the move.
She said: “I was really shocked by that. I had no idea.”
Bullock, 45, revealed earlier this week that she had adopted the three-and-a-half-month-old tot, Louis, from New Orleans.
She will raise him as a single mother after filing from divorce from James, 41.
McGee, 32, the first woman to claim an affair with James, also branded him an average lover – and said he was used to lying to people to get his own way.

Even “Bombshell” thinks Sandra Bullock’s baby news is a bombshell.
Michelle “Bombshell” McGee, the tattoo-covered stripper mistress of Bullock’s cheating bum husband, Jesse James, said she would have left him if she knew he was in the process of adopting a baby with his movie-star wife, according to her dad.
“I just spoke with Michelle, and she did not know anything about Sandra or Jesse adopting a baby,” Denny McGee told RadarOnline.com. “If she had known that Jesse was involved in adopting a baby, then she would never have gotten involved with him.”
Wednesday, Bullock announced she was in the process of adopting a baby, whom she and James received in January.
New Orleans Adult Entertainment: David Vitter’s prostitute scandal is target of Louisiana Democratic Party video
April 29, 2010
In the video, a moderator pronounces that “a prominent Louisiana politician caught up with prostitution scandals in Washington D.C. and New Orleans,” has been “held accountable by no one.”It includes statements from three people, whose images are darkened to hide their identities, including a “retired firefighter” who says, “I don’t think we know all the facts about this case, and if we knew all the facts we would probably be shocked.”There was no immediate comment from the Vitter campaign. The first-term senator admitted to a “serious sin” in 2007 after his phone number was found in the records of the so-called “D.C. Madam,” Deborah Jeane Palfrey. The records dated from the time Vitter was serving in the U.S. House from 1999 to 2004. A woman later said Vitter hired her as a prostitute in New Orleans in 1999. He was elected to the Senate 2004. ‘Stark and dramatic’ video

Senate committee supports change in soliciting for crime against nature law
April 27, 2010, 3:25PM
BATON ROUGE – The state law dealing with soliciting a crime against nature should be reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor, a Senate committee decided today.

The Judiciary C Commitee voted 4-1 for Senate Bill 381 by Sen. J.P. Morrell, D-New Orleans. The approval sends the bill to the full Senate for debate.
Orleans Parish Criminal District Court Chief Magistrate Gerard Hansen said state law is uneven in how it deals with solicitation for prostitution and crimes against nature.
The bill would make the crime of solicitation for crimes against nature a misdemeanor, the same as the penalty for soliciting for prostitution.
“One is (now) a misdemeanor and one is a felony,” Hansen testified. “There is no logic in that. … This is just a talking crime,” not the specific sexual act.

New Orleans Adult Entertainment: Animal instincts: "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call – New Orleans"
April 29, 2010
In addition to the snake we have a pet dog that is passed around like a loose joint, a grieving roadside alligator and some imaginary iguanas that all remind us of that natural world, the darker side of man, encroaching on most of the folks in this story. Shaking down young club goers for drugs and sex, attempting to fix football games, beating up old women and laughing like a madman, McDonagh is nonetheless, still a cop trying to do his job and protect his prostitute girlfriend (Eva Mendes). Like “The Wire” this film shows a corrupt world that taints everyone involved. Yet unlike Ferrara, Herzog finds the black comedy in his absurdist noir. Seeing the alligators’ or imaginary iguanas’ point of view, watching another mans soul dance as he dies, or showing the delight of a junkie cop who finds a unexpected stash is good fun. In the end it’s all about enjoying the ride and this film reminds us how formulaic most police thrillers hav …

Say it isn’t so … Stormy Daniels won’t be running for David Vitter’s U.S. Senate seat in Louisiana:
“I am not running for the US Senate because I am an adult entertainment star,” Daniels stated. “I am not running for the US Senate for the same reason that so many dedicated patriots do not run–I can’t afford it.”
That sound you hear is the collective head explosion from Wingnuttiastan as Michelle Obama weighs in with her thoughts on the nominee for the Supreme Court: “Diversity in this country is a good thing whether it’s gender or race or socio-economic background or religion. You know, that’s the world I come from,” she said. “The more views and experiences at the table make for better outcomes.”
… And yet, in my travels around the state, I found a lot more people who are considered outsiders by those standards than insiders. In fact, many, many more. For just as these misguided arbiters of the mainstream view an adult entertainment star as an anathema to the political process so too do they view the dishwasher, the cashier or the bus driver.
…
“I am not running for the US Senate because I am an adult entertainment star. I am not running for the US Senate for the same reason that so many dedicated patriots do not run–I can’t afford it. On this day inparticualar, we should all take time to reflect on the loss to our country that comes from the sad fact that those who may truly desire to contribute to our society are barred by those who only seek to unjustly profit off it.

Porn star passes on challenging Vitter By Aaron Blake – 04/15/10 11:51 AM ET Porn star Stormy Daniels announced Thursday that she will not challenge Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) in a primary.Daniels had been exploring a bid against Vitter for the better part of the year. Her potential candidacy drew plenty of headlines and smirks, especially given Vitter’s self-admitted “serious sin” with a prostitute in 2007.Daniels said recently that, if she ran, she would do so in the primary against Vitter. But she said Thursday that she just doesn’t have the funds to compete.“The simple fact that David Vitter has $5 million in his bank account pretty much says it all,” she said. “Against that sheer accumulation of special-interest dollars, I have no legitimate means of winning a race for the United States Senate under these circumstances. As a businesswoman, I know that better than anyone.“I am not running for the U.S. Senate because I am an adult entertainment star. I am not running for the U …
