… He has to support him because Mauberret will be punitive with him if he doesn’t,” she said. “This is the way the city has been run forever. Mauberret used to brag that he never had to pay for a meal in the French Quarter or entrée into a strip club.”

“I can see I’m going to have to take the gloves off with (Marshall) because I’m not going to sit back and take this (expletive),” Mauberret said. “It’s ridiculous to start mudslinging about strip clubs. I stopped gong to restaurants 12 years ago because they didn’t want to charge me. If I do go I call in under a different name or have my wife go in and pick up the food. I don’t play that — never have, never will.”

However, the film, directed by Werner Herzog (“Aguirre, the Wrath of God”, “Rescue Dawn”), began to look promising— Cage actually had potential! Thus, I saw the film once I had the chance. “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans” isn’t absolutely remarkable, but it is quite an experience.
Lieutenant Terrence McDonagh (Cage) is a New Orleans police investigator who, though dedicated to his job, is addicted to prescription pain medication because of his back pain. His life is a downward spiral from there. McDonagh takes drugs and sex as bribes, owes a large sum of money to his booker (Brad Dourif) and runs into trouble with “powerful” people when looking out for his prostitute girlfriend Frankie (Eva Mendes). In the midst of all this, he and the police force attempt to find evidence that can put drug kingpin Big Fate (Xzibit) behind bars for the homicide of five Senegalese illegal immigrants.

The government takeover of healthcare will advance to the full senate for debate and it is likely to be amended. What that essentially means is that many Democrats who face some stiff competition in their 2010 reelection bids, will all be offering their services as Pimp Daddy Reid takes advantage of the amendment process by insuring that many more Magnolia Madame-like deals are made. Reid is going to have pimp his members on this one hard. The Pimp of all pimps, President Obama, has put too much on the line on this issue and for them, failure is not an option. So they will pay any price to save face and kiss all the ass they can to insure that the senate version of a government healthcare takeover passes under the nuclear option of a party line vote.

You have to see this woman. So many times you’ll hear about a pop star who lip syncs, mainly because it’s too hard to sing and dance without sounding winded.
Chris Owens, who is about 74, continues to sing and dance flawlessly in her own club called The Chris Owens Club. She is stunning and she knows it as she checks herself constantly in the mirrors that surround the club.
11. The French Quarter
This is one of the most beautiful places in the country. It’s a great place to bar crawl and you can take your drink onto the street of this Disneyland for drinkers. Street performers are a plenty and many are fantastic.
There are also plenty of seedy strip clubs with a lot of character. All this and it’s family-friendly as there is much more to see and do.

Cage and his partner, Val Kilmer, come across a guy trapped in a jail cell with the flood waters rising. Cage jumps in to save him, and, in the process, severely injures his back. He’s returned to service. But the pain is so great, he turns to cocaine for relief.
This lieutenant a dedicated and decorated cop but, as far as he’s concerned: the end justifies the means, and he’ll do anything to solve murders, and score the drugs that keep him going. So, Cage manhandles old women in nursing homes, and makes a deal with a drug kingpin, played by Xzibit.
But the story isn’t important. Nicolas Cage is the pot of gold. All his quirkiness that you’ve come to love or hate, falls into place under the direction of the great Warner Zerzog. Cage gives a performance that approaches the psychotic. And, yet, you slowly come to understand that everything he does, is born of a single purpose. Eva Mendes plays his prostitute girlfriend, who helps peel back the layers of Cage’s personality.
